Off-loading decision-making onto the judiciary puts the fate of society in the hands of a professional guild โ one that maintains the belief that only it can interpret the laws of the land. It's a subtler, more pernicious form of โtrust the experts.โ

I once encountered a Canuck in a youth hostile overseas. Introduced myself, said "I'm from the States," he said he's from Canada. With nothing but brotherly and convivial intent, I said, "Oh well we're pretty much the same people then." Guy became very cross all of a sudden, said "No we aren't," and didn't speak to me again the entire time we were there together.
This is how petty and resentful Canadians are
