Often the hardest thing is the empty stall. A constant reminder of the life that filled it that is now gone. Mel will never get to see that grey face staring back at her and my heart breaks for her and her team.
Trainer Brendan Walsh, whose Pretty Mischievous was awarded the victory in Saturday’s Test at Saratoga, delivered the blanket of flowers given to the races winner to trainer Melanie Giddings, whose Maple Leaf Mel broke down steps before the finish line.

We lost a gentleman and and an excellent horseman today. Rick always greeted people with a smile, despite the pain I'm sure he was enduring. He put his employees first and fought tirelessly for his fellow horsemen. You will be greatly missed, Mr Rick Violette.

Horses are truly amazing for the joy they can bring you. As it was the case for many people,the start of 2020 was a very dark time, but for me as I struggled with a bit of PPD, it was even darker. But as soon as I got back out to the barn and riding again, my days became brighter

One of my worst nightmares.
The connections of this lovely horse are some of the nicest people I’ve met. And they were so proud of their horse. My heart goes out to them and Nobody Listens. 💔
NOBODY LISTENS (IN 2018 Conveyance) won Parx's G3 Turf Monster yesterday in impressive fashion. It was a joy to watch his proud connections.
Today, NOBODY LISTENS was fatally injured in a van accident.
There are no words that work here. Deepest condolences to all who loved him.
