Integrating Indigenous voices in global
#ClimateAction
🌍
GCF recently hosted the 5th Indigenous Peoples Advisory Group meeting to discuss ways to enhance Indigenous Peoples' access to climate finance, sparking dialogues to advance more inclusive climate finance strategies.
In 8 years,
@theGCF
has committed $1.6 billion to SIDS—12% of our portfolio. That is 4x the share they receive from other climate finance sources.
This is real progress, but we know there's much more to do. We've heard SIDS' call for change and we're committed to delivering it.
In Tonga 🇹🇴, UNSG
@antonioguterres
highlighted the need to listen to communities and take stock of the profound impacts of climate change in Pacific SIDS.
If we save the Pacific, we also save ourselves.
The call is clear— we need

, finance, and leadership NOW.
