I am making a thread of my UX Design progress and I will be posting every new accomplisshment here.
First off, this is my Design Portfolio and it has at least three different Design case studies:
You know what's really making me sick? The oppression of women globally.
Afghanistan women no longer have human rights.
Korean women are fighting incels making deep fake porn of them.
Indian women are being raped and murdered
Nigerian women are fighting to retain the VAPPA.
I don't even know who this man is but it's a good thing when an artist reflects and takes action to make themselves and their art better. He got criticized for misogynistic lyrics and he went to get tutored by a professor in women's studies. This CAN'T be a drag.
Women in the UK are experiencing a surge in violence from incels.
Palestinian women are burying their kids and themselves every day because of the genocide against them.
Women in Congo are facing political and economic loss+sexual violence due to a genocide
Ugandan queer women are literally forbidden to exist
Women in south Africa have to deal with men arguing on whether or not their country is still the rape capital.
Everywhere you turn to, the pain is immeasurable for women. And it just hurts. It hurts so much.
So, I've had very few people say "well, he shouldn't have been misogynistic at all" and this is my reply. We all were born and raised in patriarchal societies and that's why we need to unlearn and relearn. If you choose to shame someone for growing, you need to reflect on yourself.
It hurts to know that the world doesn't care if women are subjected to violence. Prior to this period, there used to be some kind of hope that women's sufferings will not be tolerated by the international community but now, we watch as they bargain away our lives and dignity.
The only help that seems to be coming is from feminists reaching out across a multicultural world. We now have Nigerian feminists translating the words written by a Korean feminist so that we can amplify beyond a national level and join hands on a global digital scale.
It is genuinely heartbreaking. Yet, it seems that is all we can do. We have always saved each other - two women in a household, across generations, holding hands.
Then, it became two women across families, two women from different tribes, two women in Nigeria...
Two women in west Africa and now, we have women, desperately reaching to each other on an intercontinental level for help. IT IS HEARTBREAKING.
And this further proves how the feminist consciousness is a collective goal to end the patriarchy everywhere. Women deserve to live.
I am honestly just ranting about how sad I find this whole situation.
We can do more collective organising against the patriarchy but tonight? I'm just sad. I don't want to have any child, talk less of a daughter when misogyny is killing us.
Girls as spoils of war. Girls as a bridge to national peace. Girls as footmats of a spineless, evil government but never Girls as individuals deserving of a voice, a life, safety and happiness.
A parent of one of the abducted Chibok girls confirmed to Amnesty International that the Nigerian Government forced marriage between 20 rescued Chibok girls and former Boko Haram members.
🧵Why the VAPP Act Was Created and Why we should
#SaveTheVAPPA
The VAPPA was passed in Nigeria to address the rising cases of gender-based violence, domestic abuse, and harmful practices. It was a response to the countless cries for justice that had gone unheard for too long.
I hope in all of this, we remember the numerous girls who still can't say anything... Who are still trying to keep shut so they can graduate. My heart goes out to you and I wish you strength to survive this.
#sexforgrades
The reason why Uwa's rape is causing this outrage is because he killed her. If she were to be alive, you guys wouldn't have believed her.
Sansa Stark, Busola Dakolo, you guys didn't believe them and they are very much alive.
Miss me with your call for civility.
Let me get this straight: she's angry that women are walking around without covering their hair and she thinks she's the single moral compass for a diverse society. So, she's employing men to rape girls.
TWO WORDS: ELECTRIC. CHAIR!!!
#Abujaraid
You people have started doxxing feminists and calling for their arrests over *checks note* hypothetical deaths of men while women are actually dying due to your sexual depravities. Sigh
My dad casually reported me to my grandma and said "Yeye, this your daughter doesn't fear anyone. She no dey look face" and my grandma also replied with "Lion no dey give birth to goat".
Lmfaooo
P.S: the convo was in Yoruba.
Preaching unprovoked in a bus or in public is not a symptom of the spirit...it just means you're an inconsiderate person who doesn't respect other people's boundaries.
@i_am_feezah
They told us to apply early. My friend and I (she had a first class and I had a second class upper) applied and the firms ghosted. No interview or acknowledgement lmao.
The car is so nice. Customizing the plate number is pretty cool too but that word is literally a slur.
You are in a position to do better, research better too.
Nigerians would rather have leaders that slaughter the masses everyday than have ONE leader that cares about LGBTQ people.
Even in this ethnic bigotry crisis, the one thing that will unite most of the Nigerians is the hatred for queer people.
Beware of men who put down women to praise other women! Their actions never match the words and beneath these vocalised thoughts that isn't even addressing the root of the issue, is a deep patriarchal mindset that has convinced itself that it is better than the others.
I am not sure I've seen a celebrity speak in support of Zaya like this. This is great. Glad Zaya can look at videos like this and know she still has people outside of her family who support and love her too despite all the negativity. Thank you Cardi B.💕
TW:// Abuse, physical violence
You people, look at this nau!! I am so shocked because everyone seemed to like and respect Amara the lesbian but look at how serious this is. This is coming from people who were in her personal circle o. This is not okay.
The baby playing with their fingers and giggling like "yeah, that's right, mommy, tell the whole world I'm a good baby🥺🥺".

This child is definitely from Babycorp. I just know he wears a suit at midnight and makes spreadsheets of how much baby love he's driving up daily.
I need a job. I'm trying to break free from a toxic situation. So, if you know anyone who needs a writer especially, please point me in their direction or recommend me.
I don't actually believe all women need to win. That woman getting deals, donations and vacations for being a patriarchy princess while also being extremely homophobic is definitely not a win for feminism in any way. She is the exact to lock women into patriarchal conditioning.
Just be reminded: I am an intelligent, fat black girl who will carry herself, her feminism and her womanhood everywhere she goes. I refuse to be a footmat. I refuse to be a tool of oppression. I refuse to keep quiet and be ladylike. I am unapologetically me. seen, accomplished.
Uyinene went to the post office.
Uwa went to church.
Tina was standing at a bus stop.
When will women be safe? Where will we be safe? When will men stop killing and raping us?????
#JusticeForUwa

who were both killed by men.
So proud to announce that I am finally A GRADUATE OF LAW!! Finished my finals today. Omo. 6 years. 6 fucking years of intense studying even with depression and the trials of life.
If you see me having fun on the streets, tell me congratulations abeg. 🍾🥂🥂
I am just reminded once again that all we have in this community is each other. Looking at ignorance play out in the comments of bloggers who don't value our lives and we really have no one.
Who will save us? Who will mourn us? Who will let us live?
Update: I declined this job offer. Mainly because there was a lot of red flags and it was giving *toxic*. I deserve better and I am choosing to believe for now that I will get something better and more aligned. 💙
This morning.
Me:Adamu Garba said women should be less educated.
Dad: That's his problem. He can choose not to educate his own children. When you train a woman, you train a nation.
Me: That's problematic.
Dad: how?
Me: It means you view women as a tool of reproduction only.
I HATE how basic the feminism we practice in Nigeria is. We need to evolve in our thinking. We need to make room for feminism that is radical and consciously intersectional. This girl boss feminism is not really it. We need to open up more to deeper discourses+action.
Calling on all our Sisters from neighboring countries to join us in the online protest on Monday and Tuesday. You can skip the red band if you aren't comfortable with it. Rt. Details here⬇️
Nobody:
Feminists:
Nigerian men: Women don't know what Feminism is. Nigerian feminists don't know about real feminism.
The 'real feminism' they're talking about: Hi everyone, my name is misogyny lite. 👀
They're calling it a "gender war" but the 4B movement is just another way for women to survive. Kudos to Korean women for standing on business. That country is too misogynistic.
My mom just asked me if I'll be following them to church tomorrow and I said no and she's disappointed.
My dad's death has been used continually as a means to shove me back into the closet of Christianity and I've been rejecting it. His life is over, not mine. Mine continues.
Gay people were talked about. This babe said the police needs to arrest James Brown, and she said women should have gay friends cause "they're better than men". I said gay people are not accessories for straight people and she said "but they'd make such nice accessories though".
"how can you rape someone inside a church?"
The problem with this statement is that it prioritizes a building, a church building over the crime committed against the woman. You are more concerned about the desecration of a seemingly holy place than you are about the victim.
There is no bIoLOgiCaL ClOck ticking. Women please, live your lives to the fullest. 30 is not a death sentence to your youthfulness or enjoyment. Just enjoy yourself please.
Also, your worth shouldn't be determined by marriage or kids. Do everything at your own time. It's okay.
I never thought the day would come that I would see 99.9% of Nigerians in the comment section be on the side of a gay person.
I am emoshunal🥺. Also, homophobes are absolutely vile.
Was it not Bolt that we reached out to in June because we wanted to leave flyers containing information on sexual harassment in their cars and they told us they don't want to make their customers feel "uncomfortable"?
They literally said Male comfort>> female safety.
@DamilohunA
I want a group chat with lesbians and very sapphic girls this pride month. We will just share joyful things with each other, opportunities and be a community to each other.
Rules
- You must not be transphobic
- You should be a feminist.
Kindly let me know if you'd like to join.
I was a witch doctor. A favored child of the gods. I wore no shoes and was highly revered among the people. People called me to perform rituals or when their children had measles. I got married to a man and he killed me.
Even in this life, men are threatened by my existence.
To my new followers, in this house, we dislike the following crew:
Homophobic
Misogynistic
Patriachal
'Not all men'
Fatphobic
Patriachy princesses
Racist, etc
Thank you.
I know Reni hasn't complained (my apologies) but the kind of things you people send to her on that NGL are actually THINGS YOU SHOULD BE TALKING TO YOUR THERAPIST ABOUT, INSTEAD OF LAYING IT ON A YOUNG WOMAN IN HER EARLY 20s.
@madamkeji
Corpers represent a small percentage of the Nigerian people and that's how you know Nigeria is cooked. Because you will find all kinds of bigotry in those people.
Till date, Kano has not even adopted this Act and there are over 4000 recorded cases of SGBV in that state within the past 5 years.
Ogun state decided to enforce the act in 2020.
Another state just adopted it in December, 2023. WHY IS IT BEING REPEALED??
#Vappmustnotberepealed
Senator Jibrin Isah, representing Kogi East, is pushing to repeal the Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Act, claiming that the definition of consent needs further differentiation. The repeal bill has now passed its second reading.
Me: So what happens when you train a woman and she decides she doesn't want children? Will the nation fall?
Dad: So, why should we train women?
Me: Because you want them to be happy and have a life of their own. Just the way you train boys.
Dad: *crickets*
Me: *feministing*.
I designed this fabric.
Fun fact: All the inscriptions on it have queer meanings. I developed a set of characters to depict queer people and queer terms and I inscribed it on a fabric.
This is my way of letting society know that we are here, we exist in this time and space.🏳️🌈
I feel this is very insulting. There is something about making men who have made it known that they don't believe in women equality, head projects of social importance to women that is degrading. You're basically stepping on the works of women to give their crown to the patriachy.
Are you kidding? You posted a picture of your very underage daughter here and men fetishised her and wanked to the thought of raping her and you didn't even have anything tangible to say then but the thought of respecting the LGBT community is giving you sleepless nights. LMAO
When I started out as a feminist,I used to say that my feminism advocates for women to choose their reality only. Then,I realized women could choose and still choose slavery under the patriarchy due to years of conditioning.
I want liberation,a Radical overhauling of the system.
Why do women have to pay for what men do? Why?? Why do we have to conform to a religion or dress code or something? Why do we have to be the epitome of responsibility? Why won't anyone respect our bodily autonomy? We have rights and we won't keep quiet.
#Abujaraid
Every single day, I get more annoyed with Cishet couples that can be so visibly seen and display their love in public without fear because queer people can't do that. Every tiny joy we get is scrutinized, theorized and taken away.
Straight people don't have the Monopoly on love.
It's so disgusting to see y'all tweet about unity and strength and leaving no one behind while turning on,abusing, embarrassing and almost killing queer protesters. It's fucking sad to see that you literally don't care about our lives. Even in this fight.
#QueerNigerianLivesMatter
"hElP mE bEG My WIfE. SavE tHIs maRrIAgE FOr mE"
Guys really need to stop doing this thing. Take responsibility? Accept consequences?
LMFAO. Bros, is she married to us???? Did we cheat on her?? Are you us? Is us you? Are we you? Who are we to you to she to him/her/they????
See, I find so much joy in this because indigenous African societies always expelled people socially for being degenerates. And that's something we need to bring back for rapists.
Also, the current jail system we have won't do that for us btw. We need a better system.
Transphobia galore on the tl. I swore I'd not say anything but let's be clear: Trans women are women. I support trans people. Trans rights every day. Trans lives matter every minute. The 'T' in LGBT is not for decoration. And I absolutely care for and adore my community!
If your feminism doesn't decenter the male gaze, it is watered down.
If your feminism doesn't include sex workers, housewives, LGBT+, it is seriously flawed.
If your feminism doesn't understand the intersection of identities and fails to see the patriachy, there's a problem.
Femicide Alert!
Elisha, a 25 year old man in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, killed his girlfriend and shredded her body to pieces. According to neighbors they had an argument and he continued hitting her till she died.

Akwa Ibom PPRO ASP Timfon John says investigation is ongoing
A lot of people have been quoting this tweet with: "get a good paying job", "build your financial portfolio".
Young women DO NOT have the resources to do things. So, if you have the capacity to do so, please plug women to opportunities and try to get us out of the trenches.
Because I don't want girls giving up their careers and lives for men. Please share what you think girls in their early 20s should experience before they even consider marriage.
Using the "my view, his view" caption is not bad because the caption is not reserved for romantic relationships only.
But saying "love wins" after and using the rainbow when you're in fact not a part of the lgbtq+ community is not cool. It doesn't show allyship either.
I noticed something. Anytime I talk to women who are 22+, they never try to initiate sex or sexual intimacy once they learn I'm just 18 but we have the 27+ agbaya men who are desperately trying to get into the pants of 17 year olds.
Women understand rape culture better than men.
The horror of having online strangers delete your existence just because you're a transwoman.
Misgendering them, calling for their deaths, etc. Y'all seem to jerk off to the marginalization of minorities and it's so fucking cruel.
You're the worst set of people ever!!🤮🤮🤮
In other words, I am now a Google certified UX designer. I completed all of the 7 courses in the specialization and this is my badge. I am open to entry level design roles and internships as well. Thank you. 🙏🏿

I want to work with more feminists and Feminist organizations next year. Would be happy to volunteer my time, resources and skills if needed. My dms is open to feminists. Talk to me.
Loving your body as a woman does not come easy. They've taught you all your life to throw away the vessel that houses your soul; to ignore when she calls out to you.Your body is a tool to be commanded and unfortunately it isn't even yours to command.
-Moyomade, 2020. An excerpt.
I hope I am not too late to declare my intentions for the upcoming presidential election. I believe it is now time for Nigerians to have a 21 year old intersectional feminist as president. During my tenure, a Revolution from the current system is encouraged.

Ahah! My brother's girlfriend is here. Meeting her for the first time and she's wearing a customized shirt that says "The future is female". What a time to be alive!
