Watched this fight live last weekend. Feel absolutely sick reading this news. Makes us appreciate the dangers of the sport that we love. Thoughts and prayers with John’s family and friends as well as Nathan.
Sad news to bring you tonight. John Cooney has died after his defeat by Welshman Nathan Howells in Belfast last Saturday. The Irish boxer underwent surgery to relieve pressure on his brain following the bout at the Ulster Hall.

About time we removed all those English road signs in Wales
Any signs in a foreign language should be removed - on roads, in hospitals/GP surgeries, for transport networks, wherever. If you want a public sector that caters for said language, go and live in that country. This is England, and we speak English. Don't like it? Leave.
