Referees. Any sport.
We're used to getting a bit of stick, we don't get everything right all time and we miss a fair bit. Just the way things are, we're human beings it happens.
I always try and make myself available for post match chats with players, coaches and fans 1/
Nothing will sum up the rising disenfranchisement in English rugby more than three teams going bust and then a team who won multiple trophies whilst breaking the rules winning another.
This is a dilemma, I want GB women's sevens to win the bronze medal because it will be huge for them. I also want Fiji women to win because it will be huge for them and for their entire nation. Hope rugby wins!

It's a controversial one as a Wasps fan... But Harlequins and the brand they play is what Rugby Union needs in a time where games have been increasingly dull
A strange position that for the first time in nearly 18 years that I am not remotely excited for the start of the Premiership.
Just do. not. care.
Admittedly, it has crossed my mind to support Exeter, or Bristol, or Glos.
But that for me betrays those 18 years.

"Wasps is gone"
Me right now: (see gif)
If we have to go for it from Level 10, with a new set of heroes, a new band of coaches, a new home, ultimately from a standing start, but with of owners who care and with a plan, then you know what?
I'm in for the journey.
#Waspsalways
Don't do a Wasps. Don't do a Wasps. Don't do a Wasps.Don't do a Wasps. Don't do a Wasps. Don't do a Wasps. Don't do a Wasps. Don't do a Wasps. Don't do a Wasps.Don't do a Wasps. Don't do a Wasps. Don't do a Wasps.
Life plan.
1. Win the Euro millions
2. Buy Wasps.
3. Buy a large patch of land somewhere near London and build a 12,000 seater stadium and training facilities.
4. Move Wasps there.
5. Buy Coventry City and free them from the Shysters.
6. Secure a mid term future for CCFC. 1/2.
Everything crossed for Worcester Warriors fans atm. I know Wasps aren't in much better straits, but I'd hate to see anyone's sports team going under. (Yes, even Saracens)
Been appointed as a referee and 4th Official at this weekends fixtures at Millfield between Bath Rugby and Bristol Bears U16s.
Really excited to be involved with a full officials team for the first time!
What I would do for a moment like this again. My old man and I stayed for a good half an hour after that game just to reflect on a fantastic game.
Little did I know, that was the last time I would attend a Wasps game 😔😔😔
I sincerely hope that's a "for now" situation.
My only hope for Wasps right now is that it is in the hands of former players who love and care for it.
Unless they spring the plan on us tomorrow, I am fearing the worst.
I've had my moment of joy. Now my mind turns to the fans of another great club

@RugbyWorcs
our club has been saved, now hopefully they'll sort out the bureaucracy and save yours!

What ever happens with Wasps now, I'll be forever grateful for the friends that I have made on here in the Wasps fan base.
Maria, Gemma, Matt Brown, Jack T, the Waspsguy, the Waspsoutsider, Paul, Richard, Barry and of course the late John to name but a few. Truly grateful.
I am so very sorry to London Irish and their fans... there are no words and I share your pain.
Bill Sweeney. Simon Massie-Taylor. Its time to do the right thing and resign.
Just a quick scan of the internet, regarding the Chiefs controversy. The Dumnonii tribe occupied what is now Devon, Cornwall and West Somerset from 100BC-450AD. The site of their capital would go on to become.... funnily enough, Exeter!

Wasps are delighted to announce their return for the 2023/24 season, with confirmation they have now fully satisfied Rugby Football Union (RFU) requirements.

Could you let Eddie know if he only wants Joe L and Alfie for tackle bag holding then we'll gladly have then back. Preferably before Friday
@WelshRugbyUnion
Will Rowlands must be tamping. Player of the tournament for Wales. Much as I love Alun-Wyn, I don't think he should be starting after so long out
If there is truth to this, then a priority must be a strong relationship with Solihull Moors FC, its fans, and the surrounding area. We cannot allow for relations to deteriorate as they did with Coventry City
Just need to look at the latest kitman clear out to see that even if the team isn't currently on the pitch, that Wasps Rugby is not dead.
We will be back.
Just watching the highlights from the Prem Rugby Cup game between Wasps and Sarries. Reckon Luke Mehson could end up being a shrewd bit of business down the line.
This kid is an absolute titan! anyone ever need a source of inspiration, look to Alex! So proud to have this guy as a fellow member of the Wasps family! Keep going Alex!!!
Very tough Physiotherapy today. Cancer PT rehabilitation is essential for Alex to walk and perhaps run again one day. Essential manipulation of metal with muscle & cartilage. He has to endure it every single day.

Guess this is what happens when you spent years treating the clubs and regions with indifference at best or utter contempt at worse. It finally spreads to the National Team.
#SCOvWAL
A prime example of what constitutes a carbuncle of humanity.
I haven't been on the journey that long but I know that Alex has been a fighter his entire life, and his family have exhausted every opportunity to help him in that fight and they deserve better than people like this!
Sadly we’re dealing with some awful issues at the moment. One is this: someone has been in contact pretending to be part of
@RotaryGBI
@BrightonRotary
& promising us £5k to help get Alex his treatment in U.S. sadly it’s fake. Not sure why someone would do this. 😔
@brightonargus
People worried about the
@lionsofficial
tour being cancelled? Surely the way forward now is to play a three game series against Sale Sharks? That's the next best alternative
@jxw1954
@OwainJTJones
Healthy bit of perspective needed here mate, test series win against Australia, drew against the all blacks after a dire 2005 and poor 2009. He made Wales a force in world rugby once again. His legacy cannot come down to this tour
@WaspsRugby
Fantastic win. Got to say Spink is coming on well! Biyi will have to empty Mako out his back pocket tonight.
Word on Jimmy. Stay or Go, we don't know. But what we do know is that he will give 100% in every minute he spends in a Wasps shirt. Thought he was brilliant today!
@WaspsRugby
@_ThomasYoung
@Cardiff_Rugby
Honestly heartbreaking but understandable. Too long has he deserved a shot at sustained international caps, and now it's here. Thomas, thank you for everything you've done in a Wasps shirt all these years, and thank you to the Young family for everything.
#Onceawasp
Hopeful that this takeover deal will eventually include Wasps Women and Netball. Both have become important parts of the brand.
Definitely need to be looking somewhere in London for a temporary base, with a big patch of land elsewhere ready to be build on.
You look at how well Jack Willis is playing and realise there are people formerly in the back room at Wasps who have got away with murder.
The quality of players our academy brought through was outstanding.
@WaspsRugby
That second half is unacceptable. A team that plays a match like that will never win silverware. It's game one and it seems the lessons that needed to be learnt from last term have not been learnt. This is a season of reckoning for our current staff.
@WaspsRugby
@jimmygopps
@MalakaiFekitoa
Devastated to lose both. Shame we didn't get the most out of Mala because of injury, all being said when ever he has been on the pitch he has given nothing less than 100%.
Jimmy... once I've stopped crying I'll think of something to say...
The rugby World rallying around Alfie Pugsley is honestly one of the best things to see. Proof that rugby values are not dead!
@Puggster
stay proud of him sir!
Suggestion from Lee Blackett that Ian Costello is looking to head home, while i think that will be a shame, I also think the club needs to not just throw the kitchen sink, but the entire fitted kitchen at getting Joe Worsley back from Bordeaux!
#Waspsrugby
Three years to the day that I called time on playing rugby. Came at a time I was both mentally and physically at my weakest. How much things can change. I'm fitter, I'm stronger, I know where I want to be, and I am still heavily involved in the sport I love.
ONE YEAR ON. GETTING THERE.
It has been 12 months since the administration event that saw WASPS relegated from the RFU - and that was the day that we planned our return...read the latest announcement...

So any red card offences against Wasps are.... not? Honest to God... we say respect the officials but these standards this season? It's just laughable at best
@realDonaldTrump
@theresa_may
Looks like the "Wacky" Ambassador's assessment is correct, at the rate you are going Mr Trump, America can become as great as it wants, but it will stand alone with no one but North Korea to play with and Russia to tell you what to do
7. Sell Coventry City FC to someone who cares for the club having blown up and rebuilt the CBS to cleanse it of all the emotional bloodshed of the past few years.
8. See Wasps win multiple trophies.
9. Ride off into the sunset (die.)
10. Have a film made about me.
@Munsterrugby
@MalakaiFekitoa
This guy will run through walls, mountains, solid diamonds, you name it. An incredible athlete and absolutely dedicated to the game and team. We'll miss him at Wasps but you have secured an absolute gem of a player!
Hearing any players not involved in the
@BristolBears
match day 23 are involved in security measures around Ashton Gate, just in case
@NizaamCarr8
appears out of nowhere in the last five minutes, kitted out and ready to go. 😂
Anyone else just completely uninterested in
@rugbyworldcup
? I want to be excited, but for me, what's happened in Welsh rugby, what's happened in the Premiership with Wasps (and London Irish and Worcester), it just leaves me feeling indifferent to the sport.
Little love left.
We're going to need some contract extensions or a signing in the coming days to mitigate the heartbreak of departures both rumoured and confirmed
@WaspsRugby
.
Don't know what you think
@ExChiefs4Change
@ExeterChiefs
or anyone who feels strongly about this. I don't think the Chiefs name has to go, but if the culture concerned do not feel comfortable with the use of imagery why persist when the route to change is fairly clear?
@WelshRugbyUnion
I just don't get this insistence on playing the All Blacks outside the test window. If you want to play four tests, play four tests, but stop setting up the players brought in to cover non Wales based players, to be crushed.
