Another nice shot taken from the boat as she is pulling into Cill Rónáin pier, we think sometimes in the c1970/80s. Very quiet looking so guessing sometime out of the holiday season months. We wonder who the young lad is beind the lantern. © Photo RTÉ Stills Library.

A lovely photo taken at the end of Kilronan pier as the old Galway Bay had just arrived to Inishmore from Galway docks, which was taken on the 4th August 1979. A busy crowd with many recognisable faces that day, some sadly no longer with us, God rest their souls.

We would like to remember Captain Charlie Boyle (RIP) on the forth year anniversary of his passing today. Charlie was First mate and then Captain of the MV Naomh Éanna during his career at sea.

Tour guide book which shows Michaelín Pheait Bearthlín Ó H'Iarnáin (God rest his soul) out on his bicycle accompanied and led by his faithful mada named Cliff, down the bóithrín in Bun Gabhla, Inis Mór, Árainn. We think about 1990/1991.

Not a lot of updates from the islands at the moment apart from there is no electricity and the phone coverage is up and mainly down. Also some reports of many windows broken and roof damage. Many parts of Connemara are also without electricity at the moment.
