After 18 weeks & 58 NHS appointments, I have - finally - been given the all clear following surgery to remove a lump on my back. Thanks to my family for playing nurse to me over that time and to the NHS staff at QEH, all of whom have been amazing. Onwards

This has been a long time in the making - we recommended it in our Foresight Land Use Futures report in 2010 - but its good to see the purpose and value of it recognised

In 2021, @TheFutureFox ran the government's digital consultation on the Arc, the first time ever in the context of a major spatial plan. I hope Labour’s strategy is to secure quick wins while laying the groundwork for a more integrated, community-driven approach—engaging the 3.3 million (and rising) residents”

This is a welcome move. New planning arrangements for England announced as part of devolution rollout: all areas to prepare Spatial Development Strategies, Mayoral development management powers, & new Mayoral infrastructure levies. An integrated spatial infrastructure approach will require better coordination & place based leadership
Introducing effective new mechanisms for cross-boundary strategic planning is an integral part of the government’s housing and planning agenda. More detail on our proposed approach can be found in the English Devolution White Paper published today 👇🏻
