Celebrating Michael Power: Our schools namesake was born on Oct 17, 1804 in Halifax, ordained at 22 yrs old and named 1st bishop of Toronto at 37. In his 6 yrs as bishop, he started construction of St Michaels Cathedral & invited the Loretto Sisters to establish schools.
