How about this one Mike? My Dad originally told me about it...he was 9.
-17C for a low temp Jan 19, 1935.
~45 cm of snow fell Jan 20/35.
Followed by 200-300 mm of rain later on the 20th through the next several days. 😮

Matt, it is four years since losing you. The hardest four years of our lives, and such a huge void in our hearts without you. We miss you so much and love you forever. 💝 💕
We miss you terribly Matt! Born Sept 12, 1996. We will all be thinking of you on your birthday Thursday, and desperately wishing you were celebrating with us. ❤️
It's that one time...after the 13th weather report of the morning...that the mind wanders towards that big sandwich in the fridge, and one loses focus and walks right through Neetu's shot.
@GlobalBC
This says it all! Sharing a laugh in our final weather segment together.
You are pure gold

👍❤️.
Your friendship and TV partnership have been pleasures of a lifetime for me. Further brilliance in your career awaits!

A very proud & emotional time at the South Surrey/White Rock Learning Centre graduation ceremony last night, to see the inaugural Matthew Madryga Humanities Scholarship awarded. Congratulations Maya Senger! And thank you

His first card was only a two, but our young Rico is putting his bet on the next card: He forecasts a Metro Vancouver snowfall later Tuesday, potentially heavy Tuesday night 🐈.
@GlobalBC
Not sure about you, but I feel like boogying into some sunshine later, and a sunny weekend! And speaking of cool...Sat/Sun and Mon mornings will be chilly and clear.

From Kellie and Sherrie Robinson:
"With deep sadness and broken hearts, we bring the news that our beloved Dad, Red Robinson, passed this morning at 8:15am after a brief illness."

Once a meteorologist, always a meteorologist. Did you know
@MMadryga
has been making weather casts since the 1970s? We dug deep into the archives to surprise him with this clip.

A stellar view of the mountains from Vancouver right now, after 10-15 cm of snow fell in the past 24 hours up there. Another 5-10 cm of snow today and tonight for the ski areas.
Chilliwack: An all-time one day rainfall record occurred yesterday! 154.6 mm. Previous all time wettest day was 122.6 mm on December 13th , 1979. Statistically, off the charts!

As the snow, ice pellets and eventual freezing rain hit us hard today, our Global News Morning on-air team want to wish you all a very happy holiday season!
@GlobalBC
Any way you slice it, it looks like a very snowy Saturday night. Computer models differ on exact amounts, as always, but most are in the 10-20 cm ballpark.
On top of frozen roads.
Wow! Incredible shots Monika! Lightning is gone from Metro Vancouver, a mostly sunny couple of days ahead too! Still hot but not as sizzling as Sunday.
A chill in the air: Yesterday's Vancouver Airport high temperature of 14.8 degrees was the lowest July 1 maximum in 60 years, since 1960. That's even before my time.
A total of 18 Grand Slam tennis titles for these 3! 🤔
What an absolute thrill to meet Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe this morning

Three days of amazing tennis coming Fri/Sat/Sun.
