@MedInsightMD Strawberry tongue can be due to Kawasaki disease, scarlet fever, Vitamin B12 deficiency anaemia , food/drug allergies and toxic shock. When you see it check out the underlying cause, there is or must be always one to identify . Check for it

Why not but what is the experimental evidence supporting this idea? Irrespectively of the cause, there is no doubt SLE patients feel like having less free mind compared to their counterparts and this by itself is alarming!!!

✅ Of course, brain #autoimmune inflammation could explain #BRAINFOG but an interesting psychology theory is that in #LUPUS, PAIN, stress, anxiety, and sometimes depression take up a lot of 'mental space' and what remains is somehow is not enough to process fully new information

🙏You always need to have it in mind in old, immunosuppressed patients with fever and respiratory infection (1). 👉This is from an 80-year-old male with fever, productive cough, hemoptysis, and loss of weight. This was his CXR. What is the diagnosis in this very educational case?

👉 In press. This 3-year prospective multi-centre study from Morocco registry on 419 patients with SpA confirms the increased prevalence of active tuberculosis on patients treated with biologics. Clinicians must be aware of the increased risk .
