Elizabeth Franklin from Parkway West was named the 2024 Missouri Interscholastic Journalism Association’s Student Journalist of the Year in March. St. Louis NPR recently published a feature on Franklin and her journalism endeavors.

Congrats to MIJA Teacher of the Year Laura Greenley of Knox County R-1 High. Greenley is the multimedia instructor & yearbook adviser. She "continues to ensure that the students in our program have everything they need to be successful journalists," adviser Dawn Llewellyn said.

Scholastic Journalism Day – JDay – will be hosted at Mizzou on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. Schools can register for JDay at for the upcoming event. Journalism students from all MIJA member schools are eligible to win awards by submitting their work in Feb.
