The Supreme Court orders military courts to stop trying civilians, citing concerns over impartiality and jurisdiction. “The oath taken by serving military officers binds them to the High Command, making impartiality difficult. These untrained persons can issue life imprisonment and death sentences, which is outside their mandate,” – Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo. #Justice #RuleOfLaw
