Congratulations to our middle school students who competed in the Academic Quiz Competition at Tioga Central Schools! They competed against 16 teams from across the region, answering questions from all core subject areas 5 of our students were part of the 2nd place team!

We are incredibly honored to have had the opportunity to host edcampSTNY for the 8th year in a row! It was a fantastic day of bringing educators from across the Southern Tier together for a day of collaboration and learning.

In honor of the Super Bowl, second graders in Mrs. Hennessey's class celebrated with a Football Day! 🏈 Learning activities had a football theme, including a Super Bowl prediction graph. Special visitors included members of our football team, who helped with activities!

We may have some future plow truck drivers on our hands! A special thank you to the New York State Dept. of Transportation for stopping by Homer Brink this morning. Students learned about the importance of plow safety, while getting an inside-look into the trucks themselves!

At tonight's Board of Education meeting, our High School recognized five women who continuously go above and beyond to help our students thrive. A huge congratulations to Jennifer Gordner, Jaclyn Amorese, Kathleen Blake, Tammy Peters and Heather Furman.

Next stop, Maine Memorial! 📖 Today, students from Ryan Both and Genna Michitti's classes read Revolutionary War children's books, created by themselves, to 4th and 5th graders. A great way to connect with younger students while showcasing their latest unit in social studies!
