When I get an EMS medical command phone call and they start off with “Hey doc, sorry to bother you…” Literally me 7/10 times when I’m getting the call - trust me you’re not bothering me

Hot take: Your initial pad placement in cardiac arrest should always be Anterior-Posterior. Why? 1. Increased myocardial coverage 2. If the arrest turns into refractory VF arrest, can easily "add-on" Anterior-Anterior pads

EMS folks: Double Sequential External Defib (DSED) is transforming VF care - better survival, better neuro outcomes. If it’s not in your toolkit, it should be. Wanna know more? Check out our lit review! @AaronLacyMD @JamesLi_17 @WUSTL_EMS @unm_emed

@TheResusTailor There are few things as an EMS doc I expect 100% compliance on for quality review, but ETCO2 confirmation after ETI is one of them

Excellent review of occlusive MI patterns! If you're in MedEd, esp EM/EMS/acute care, this is a MUST read. Adding this to my list of journal articles for new EM docs and medics! Great work @fabrizioricci @RobertHermanMD @smithECGBlog @PendellM & others

Great work here by @reverendofdoubt et al! MRSA bacteremia is rare in ED sepsis, yet Vanc use remains high. Surprisingly, 1/3 of MRSA cases lacked risk factors, and risk factors didn't predict MRSA infections. We need better tools for antimicrobial stewardship.

Super cool study! In my anectodal experience, medics will have better INITIAL proficiency/comfort but after training and more field/flight exposure, medics and RNs are functionally the same in regards to prehospital ETI.

@FireMedic40NJ Walked into the wrong bungalow on the Jersey shore; lady sat right up in the bed, screamed, then said "you're probably going next door" and laid back down.
