At the West Bank Switching station in Jinja for an on-spot audit of works. There's significant growth in this region and we need to serve all these customers, reduce technical losses—and—most importantly, to ready the distribution system to take on more power that will come from Karuma among other generation plants. We must bridge the investment in distribution to match the demand that we are seeing on the network.

Commissioned infrastructure works at Hoima substation as part of the efforts to improve reliability and increase access to electricity this year. Hoima City and Bunyoro Region has registered tremendous growth with Oil, Kabaale International Airport and many other milestones—which require stable and reliable electricity to power these developments. We are investing Ugx 8.7 Billion to more than triple the capacity of the Substation to 20 Megawatts.
