@The__Goomba If Sony had a handheld that had a unified storefront like PC/Steamdeck, that shared save files and played games natively, then it’d be a smash hit instant buy for me.

@Tierra100able_ Generally always been the case. It more that nintendo first party really doesnt delve into M-rated games. But their platforms have always been for all age rangers. Hell, the uncensored BMXXX came out on Gamecube

@JWolf17FTW @RetroFear_ Literally nearly all of my ps5 games are complete on disc and do not require download to play. This of course excludes multiplayer dependent games (like Helldivers), so you just dont know what you are talking about.

@tomwarren For legality and liability you dont just spew out random information about a service outage. Investigations can take weeks or months to complete and then if necessary a notification to consumers if their accounts were in any way compromised.

@JWolf17FTW @RetroFear_ The psn outage did not affect my already downloaded games and wouldnt stop me from playing any of my disc games. Im not sure what you are arguing against psn when its the same for any platform.

@KirPinkFury Switch games are notorious for having a bunch of games that have mandatory downloads, and some are straight up streaming only. Dont be a console fanboy, its dumb af. And a majority of ps5 games that arent explicitly multiplayer are complete on disc and need no download.

@Puertorock77_ Its not even 24 hours. You get services back up, perform investigations (which can take weeks or months), and the provide customers notification of any relevant account information was compromised. What the hell do you expect them to do, tell you what they dont know?

@BaumE__ @estevedog2 @KirPinkFury Competent steamdeck competitors are like $600-$1000, and these people are expecting an appox $400 Switch 2 to outperform them when they still struggle with some modern mid-range titles. It’s gonna be maybe slightly better than a steamdeck…maybe.

@MiguelGCGamer1 @estevedog2 @KirPinkFury Doom Eternal on switch was like half the fps and suffered significant visual quality downgrades. It still plays fine but its not on par. Switch 2 will likely be a little bit better than the basic Steamdeck most likely.

@estevedog2 @KirPinkFury The whole thing is gonna be crazy limited due to low TDP. Console/PC gpu’s run hundreds of watts. I really doubt the Switch2 can run anything higher end competently at all. I hope i eat my words but you sound kinda delusional.

@KirPinkFury Tbh that looks hella uncomfortable as someone who uses a full size mouse. It would allow touchscreen controls while docked though.
