I saw Barbie tonight. I'm a 58 year old mom of 3 sons, wife, former executive w/ a Fortune 500 company, founder of a non-profit, social justice activist, consultant, + more. Every fiber of my being reacted to those words. Tears sprang to my eyes. Too real, too true, too sad.

I wasn't planning to go, but my one son's 19 year old girlfriend raved about it, so I went with my other 2 sons. I'm glad they went - I think it was enlightening for them, and it led to some good convos. I never had a Barbie either.
