It has been one week since the massacre at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.
In response, a dark-money group from Missouri launched a "Woke Heat Map" so that fascists can "fight back" against a "woke agenda."
Twelve locations are tagged.
All of them are schools.
🧵
My husband’s deployed.
Russia is taking out bounties on American troops.
The President knew for months.
And he wants to invite Russia to be part of the G8.
This isn’t an issue of partisanship, it’s a crisis of conscience.
Meanwhile, in Missouri, State Representative
@IanMack03007724
gives one of the most powerful speeches I have ever heard.
Turn on the volume. You want this timeline cleanse.
In December 2015, I drove down to my father's home in rural Missouri to spend a few weeks with him prior to Christmas.
During that drive the road was littered with Trump signs. Many have remained there for over 6 years.
Yesterday, I didn't see even one.
🧵
You know how less than 3 weeks ago the Alito opinion was leaked + suddenly Republican politicians noticed a baby formula shortage that’s been an issue since February—but 192 of them voted against solving that problem?
Yeah. So.
Reminder of how the 1/6 investigation is going.
Whenever people say Trump was tough on Russia—I’m just reminded of my husband’s deployment to Syria.
When Russian operatives shot at my husband’s unit—trying to murder our troops + our Commander in Chief bowed to Putin five months later.
🧵
I am a graduate of Marshall High School in Saline County Missouri.
While in school I earned an education that taught me the history of genocide, slavery, and exploitation that is deeply rooted in this country.
It wasn’t critical race theory.
It was American History.
🧵
It’s cute that people think Hawley’s latest autocratic grab is new.
This guy left DC, moved to MO + from the moment he stepped foot in Boone County he’s violated ethics laws, lied to the public + positioned his pawns in places of power to achieve his endgame—the Presidency.
Russia orchestrated an attack against my husband’s unit in Syria in early 2018.
Russia lost. Badly.
As payback Russia placed bounties on the heads of US soldiers.
The Commander in Chief aids the enemy, but abandons our allies.
Here’s our story.
🧵
Listen, Joshua Hawley is a coward. He always has been. He operates in bad faith. Every single thing this man does is calculated—you know the type.
He avoids questions + his constituents.
He isn’t someone who is that successful on his own merits.
He’s counterfeit.
🧵
Because this is Missouri and there’s no shortage of racism, I also want you all to know about one of the worst bills I have ever seen in Missouri General Assembly.
Senate Bill 666 makes Missouri a safe haven for the lynching of black men.
🧵
Joshua Hawley, Missouri's Junior Senator, is an autocrat in waiting.
His arrogance and ambition prohibit any allegiance to morality or character.
Thus far, his plan to seize the presidency has fallen into place.
An explanation in photographs.
🧵
I just wrote a long, thoughtful thread on how the Republicans screwed over my husband and 3.5 million other post-9/11 veterans by refusing healthcare eligibility to those exposed to toxic burn pits.
I closed out of it before it sent--so y'all stuck with this IDGAF version.
🚨White Women in Missouri🚨
I need y’all to lean in and listen close now.
Every single Republican Member of the House of Representatives from Missouri just voted against our right to contraception.
🧵
Someone take Ted Cruz to the immigration detention facilities where kids are separated from their parents and let him know their moms + dads were trying to be good parents too.
Every single one of these 12 locations is a school.
And these schools are being targeted for supporting trans students, offering African-American and multicultural curricula, diversity education, and promoting equity.
The map reads like an anti-democracy school hit list.
Concerned citizens are already reporting this targeted list of schools to law enforcement agencies.
Our country is playing with fascism. And our democratic republic will not last if our institutions protect + permit the targeting of democratic institutions by dark money groups.
Today marks 1 year since Trump abandoned our Kurdish allies—those who stood with us when Russia attacked my husband’s unit.
The American flag flying over the base where I told my husband he’d be a father was replaced by a Russian one.
Here’s our story.
I launched my campaign for Congress in 2019.
I was harassed. My home was vandalized, multiple times. I received violent threats. My car was followed by active Klan, with my 2 year old in the car.
We fought a righteous fight out here.
And the Dems in DC don’t give a damn.
🧵
And the political signs I see the most of? They're for
@buschvalentine
.
The work so many people have been doing in rural Missouri is working. Things are changing. People know the truth and they're fed up.
Don't you dare stop fighting now.
LFG.
Missouri is the first fascist state in America.
The legislative branch is controlled by an autocratic super majority due to gerrymandering + voter suppression.
The executive branch is controlled by an autocratic puppet.
Now, they're dismantling the judicial branch.
🧵
The thing about Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is that we now know that individuals involved in all three branches of our government were involved in the planning and coordination of January 6th and we need the DOJ to indict those seditious conspirators and show those trials on tv.
Text messages between Senator Mike Lee and Mark Meadows show how widespread the lobbying effort was to get Donald Trump to undermine election results.
And, Virginia’s third Senator, Joshua Hawley makes an appearance.
🧵
There's a lot going on in the United States and in the world.
It can be difficult to keep track of all the new developments--and that is by design.
But as long as I'm here I will never ignore that a group of white supremacists tried to overthrow our government.
First, some history.
Missouri is a safe haven for dark money groups.
Dark money is cash used to influence our politics from a concealed source. Usually it's passed through a non-profit on its way to support a candidate or cause.
It's 1:30 am in Washington, D.C. +
@RepAdamSchiff
had 57 minutes left.
Sekulow thought he'd yield it back.
But Schiff is standing right there using it as a closing argument. Standing for fairness. Standing for due process for the American people.
#ImAwake
#ImpeachmentHearings
The RNC refuses to hand over that information, believing its evidence of "Republican strategy."
Perhaps they're hoping we forget that what they call "strategy" the law recognizes as a conspiracy to overthrow the government.
Getting to the bottom of January 6th is the issue--because if our democracy falls into fascism we will lose more than Roe.
And a country that was once a leader in the world could find itself aligned with Russia, ignoring the atrocities it commits.
We will not let that happen.
You might be thinking, "But wait! I have to input my info everytime I make a donation--with my employer and everything."
Yup. You do.
But the Supreme Court has made a distinction between giving to a candidate and independent expenditures.
But who is Liberty Alliance USA? Why target 12 different schools?
Well. Buckle up. Because Liberty Alliance USA isn't even it's name. It's quite literally a "Fictitious Name" for Cornerstone 1791.
This allows Cornerstone 1791 to try and hide its work and avoid accountability.
And that point is sticking with voters--even before the January 6th hearings take place.
Yesterday, an ABC News Poll found that 52% of Americans believe Trump should be charged with a crime for his involvement in January 6th.
To every single person who claims Donald Trump would have gotten very American + every ally out of Afghanistan before chaos commenced—did you totally forget about Syria?
He allowed Turkey to unleash slaughter on our Kurdish allies while American troops were still on the ground.
So it likely won't surprise you that dark money groups continue to flourish in our state.
One of them is Liberty Alliance USA--a group that has launched a "Woke Heat Map" so that their followers know which specific spots to target for "fighting back" against the "woke agenda."
Until 2016, Missouri was one of a few states with zero campaign contribution limits. This made us ground zero for dark money operations.
Recall that Eric Greitens was accused of sexual assault--but didn't resign until his dark money contacts threatened to be revealed.
That corridor I've spent so much of my life travelling through doesn't have a single Trump flag or sign in it (at least as of this weekend).
Not one.
You know what I saw instead?
The American flags are back.
And they're joined by a handful of Ukrainian flags.
The autocrats aren’t trying to win. They aren’t trying to beat you.
They are actively dismantling democracy such that the American people willingly hand it over.
We won the White House.
We won the House of Representatives.
We won the Senate.
Let’s act like it.
An independent expenditure is money spent on communications to support or oppose a candidate or cause--without coordinating with the candidate's committee.
At least, technically that's the rule.
Also, these "independent expenditure" groups can accept unlimited donations.
Mueller + Edward Greim are attorneys at Graves Garrett in Kansas City, MO--a law firm with strong ties to the Trump administration and that is paid by the legal defense fund for January 6th organizers.
Matthew Whitaker (of counsel at the firm) was the Acting Attorney General.
You probably know them best as SuperPACs.
So how does it work? Well. You can donate $10M to a so-called non-profit that doesn't have to disclose its donors + that non-profit can give your $10M to a SuperPAC that can then send out $10M worth of mailers telling your community.
Liberty Alliance USA purports to "promote Conservative principles" while "fighting the reckless embrace of Socialism."
They mention politicians "fighting" only "half-heartedly" to "protect conservative values"--a callout to any Republican not towing the fascist line.
And it should be remembered that Whitaker was appointed by Trump as the Acting Attorney General illegally. That's because he never received Senate confirmation.
I mean--there's even an on point SCOTUS decision from 2016 where Roberts, Thomas and Alito wrote that rule down.
But Trump put in Whitaker in charge of the DOJ to dismantle Robert Mueller's investigation. Whitaker is the same man who wrote an op-ed suggesting Mueller's investigation went too far + who shared an opinion piece asking Trump's lawyers not to cooperate with the investigation.
Cornerstone 1791 listed Kristen Blanchard-Ansley as its President, Secretary and member of its Board--along with Shane Bartee and William Greim.
The Articles of Incorporation name Edward Greim as a registered agent and Matthew Mueller as as an incorporator.
We have a lot of folks who wanna pretend to be “country” who wanna act like they’re some badass who spends their days in fancy boots drinking whiskey + driving a big ass truck under the blue sky.
But these counterfeit men don’t talk about the prevalence of rural suicide.
🧵
On Monday, a federal judge rejected the RNC's effort to block a subpoena from the January 6th Commission.
The Commission seeks fundraising information related to the 1/6 assault on the Capitol.
If Donald Trump had a backbone instead of bone spurs--and actually wore the uniform--he'd be relieved of duty and face a court martial.
Active duty soldiers can't speak out on politics. But spouses can.
Here's our story.

He will be an effective autocrat in the way Trump never could.
Beating him requires spending the next four years community building across America—working as hard as we can to share the message that 2024 isn’t about left versus right—it’s about a democracy or a dictatorship.
And now they're pushing out their latest effort to create a surveillance state. One where schools are placed on a list for doing any number of things that far-right radicals define as "unAmerican."
So no. Not for one single second are we gonna rewrite history.
Instead, in addition to 1/6, his failed COVID response, and his myriad of financial crimes, it’d be great if we investigated the full extent of how that man jeopardized our national security for Russia’s benefit.
In chat rooms and on message boards since the sites launch, posters have pointed out exactly the kind of harm the targeting of schools and individuals can lead to.
I guess some of us are really gonna have to die out here for folks in DC to understand we have a domestic terrorist organization masquerading as a political party in Missouri.
It’s not just Greitens.
It’s the Missouri GOP that invalidated federal gun laws.
On Sunday, the January 6th Committee formally requested information and cooperation from three Members of Congress: Rep. Andy Biggs, Rep. Mo Brooks, and Rep. Ronny Jackson.
Oh, and, Tony Luetkemeyer's cousin, once removed, is sitting U.S. Representative Blaine Luetkemeyer from Missouri's Third Congressional District.
And so what you have is one law firm, with strong familial connections to state and federal legislators, employing Trump loyalists.
When the House January 6th Select Committee issued subpoenas to those who organized January 6th, Matt and Mercedes Schlapp created a legal defense fund to "pay for counsel from the law firm of former acting attorney general Matt Whitaker"--Graves Garrett.
Y’all have to expel Joshua Hawley.
Failure to do so sets the precedent that incitement of insurrection doesn’t merit expulsion.
And that’s going to be incredibly dangerous come 2024 and after.
The days of gentlemanly handshakes and agreeing to disagree are long-gone.
Nine months ago sitting Members of Congress invited terrorists to murder the Vice President and their colleagues.
They have stolen seats on the Supreme Court.
And yesterday, those three Members of Congress refused to cooperate with the committee stating that they would not voluntarily provide testimony to the committee.
There is no doubt in my mind that our nation is in safer hands with President Biden.
But there’s also no doubt in my mind that if the “political consultants” had the backbone + experience of pro-democracy fighters in red states we’d be a lot more prepared to survive this storm.
Every single thing he does is for one singular purpose—power.
He tells lies like most of us breathe. Using photos of him in New Mexico at his in-law’s ranch to make folks think he’s from a Missouri farming family.
Just like he was caught not living in Jefferson City as AG.
William and Edward Greim are brothers. William has been the Treasurer for a handful of anti-democracy PACs in Missouri, such as Fair Missouri, Freedom to Work and, of course, Liberty Alliance.
When y’all call him Tampon Tim, all I hear is that you think it’s funny he’s helping school girls navigate what can be a pretty stressful and sometimes embarrassing but perfectly normal part of life.
You think helping us is funny.
And that makes sense.
Because you’re the same
Yes, the same Sam Graves who signed the amicus brief undermining the 2020 election + who later voted against certifying election results.
But let's go back to Todd for a second. He's the former Chair of the MO Republican Party and is now on the U of Missouri Board of Curators.
Worth noting is the address that appears on some of these organization papers--it's the same as the Graves Garrett law firm, where William's brother Edward Greim is a partner.
And then we have Kristen Ansley who is the former Acting Executive Director of the Missouri GOP.
She's also the current Executive Director of "Private Citizen" a non-profit that originally was organized as "Nemo Resideo Group" located at--you guessed it--the very same address as Graves Garrett law firm.
As obvious as it is that Hawley lied about tonight's events at his home in Virginia, don't lose sight of *why* he lied.
Domestic terrorists are planning violence in DC this week. Hawley just laid the groundwork to claim they're acting in defense of others.
This is calculated.
If you dig into dark money groups, you'll learn that Graves Garrett partner Lucinda Luetkemeyer represented a Montana Representative during his case over the use of dark money.
Lucinda is married to MO State Senator, Tony Luetkemeyer--who voted for Todd Graves's appointment.
Anyone who claims there was no way to predict January 6th would turn violent should come hang out in
#MO04
cause I had men at the Dollar General, the gas station + the sale barn telling me it was gonna be 1776 part two—a new Civil War.
Ansley also sits on the Board of Directors of the Herzog Foundation, where she joins Todd Graves--named partner of the Graves Garrett law firm.
Graves is the brother of Sam Graves--United States Representative to Missouri's 6th Congressional District.
This is a damn fairytale.
We are in the eye of a storm.
And what we do now dictates whether democracy survives after 2024.
You cannot make bets with the underlying assumption being that you will win another election.
Considering 2 Thanksgivings ago my husband relied on Kurdish allies for food during his deployment, we call it a Blessing.
+ b/c Trump abandoned those allies + put our troops in danger, I call him unfit for command
You should join us.👇

And Democrats in Washington, DC who have a seat at the table—they’re playing a dangerous game.
They’re betting our entire country’s future on this notion that if they don’t rock the boat too much, things will calm down, and they can get re-elected and do more
@next
time.
That law was written in the aftermath of January 6th so that Missouri would function as a safe haven for militias and domestic terrorists.
And mind you, this law passed *after* the NAACP had already issued a travel warning for the state of Missouri.
If anyone attends a town hall or debate with Joshua Hawley and has the opportunity to ask a question, I’ve got three.
1). Why did President Trump call you 6 different times on January 5, 2021?
2). What did he say in the three messages he left you?
Just like he sold his home in Boone County after winning his Senate seat and pretended his entire family lived with his dad in Springfield.
Just like he now says he lives with his sister when really he’s building a million dollar vacation home on the Lake.
Let's get this story right:
Senator Hawley violated Senate rules when he blasted a

He did it to silence his own constituents--a display of muscle that if he can end Woj's job, he can end yours too.

A THREAD
Both of Missouri’s Senators voted against funding for vaccine distribution, for public schools, and for working families.
Roy Blunt isn’t a moderate.
Joshua Hawley isn’t a populist.
They’re slaves to the political industrial complex + thirst for power.
We’re collateral damage.
School board meetings are full of parents denouncing science and history.
Politicians are using that chaos to defund public education.
Our nation is in crisis and we’re pretending our hands are tied.
We lack not options for moving forward, but the courage to do so.
This guy doesn’t believe rules apply to him. It’s why he shops for wine in the afternoon when he’s supposed to be working.
It’s why he formed an organization that he later used for his campaign in violation of ethics rules.
It’s why he violates Senate rules so brazenly.
Of our 3 branches of government Alexander Hamilton thought the judicial branch to be the least dangerous. It controlled neither money nor military.
Perhaps that's why citizens pay little attention to the courts.
And perhaps that's why we aren't talking about Justice Thomas.
🧵
These are not people who care about decency or precedent or the law.
They care about control.
And we need to care more about doing the hard things instead of looking bad on cable news.
Like when he took official Senate correspondence sent to him from the public and posted it on his personal Twitter.
This guy DGAF, y’all. And he never has.
He lies. He’s hypocritical. He breaks the law. He’s disingenuous.
But it doesn’t matter. He’s climbing that ladder.
This week you have Members of a Congress threatening telecom companies if they comply with subpoenas—that’s obstruction of justice.
You have Texas subjugating women.
You have multiple states hellbent on limiting our right to vote.
You have California facing a recall.
These people paid for their own tax cuts by increasing taxes on gold star families.
They stole money from my kid's daycare to pay for a wall.
The stole money from my neighbor's middle school to pay for that same wall.
They rob our kids to line their pockets. All. The. Time.
When you stand up in a deeply red district in a deeply red state, you do it because lives depend on it.
You do it because democracy depends on it.
You do it because the future you want for your kids + grandkids depends on it.
Never forget that when far too many view blackness as a deadly weapon, there will always be people who feel justified in “protecting” themselves from it.
So they legalize murder.
SB 666 is that law.
Lindsey Graham just read into record that the ABA did not find Judge Barrett unanimously well-qualified to to take a seat on the Supreme Court of the United States.
Just so we're clear, every single person put on SCOTUS this century has been unanimously qualified.
Joshua Hawley is not sure whether women who have hysterectomies are still women.
I’ve seen many pundits eye-roll at his comments—but we need to pay more attention to why he defined a woman specifically as “a mother.”
🧵
Now he’s battling it out with McConnell + he’s gonna try and remove him from the equation too—make him look weak and feeble to the MAGA crowd, because Mitch is a threat to Hawley’s rise.
And America? Democracy? The health of our families?
He’s more than happy to risk that too.
That future included:
▪️a new voting rights act
▪️ending gerrymandering
▪️universal healthcare
▪️codified Roe v Wade
▪️anti-lynching laws
▪️ending qualified immunity
▪️equal rights amendment
▪️prosecution of the crimes we watched unfold before our eyes the previous 4 years
That’s when I decided to contact my Representative, Vicky Hartzler—only to be repeatedly ignored.
Got pissed off.
Ran for Congress.
Met you fine people.
And then Trump officially abandoned our Kurdish allies—ya know, the ones who stood next us while Russia shot at us.
And lemme just tell y'all. Everyone did not know that stuff. In New York, folks had his number all day long. But in rural MO--what we knew about the man all came from The Apprentice and watching Home Alone 2. Folks thought he was a wealthy businessman who made things better.
And let us not forget how the Trump administration prevented some military kiddos born abroad from being given automatic citizenship.
And how thousands of service members were sent to war, returned to America--only to be deported.
There's no loyalty here.
I called it terrorism as it happened. Because that’s what it is.
Violence + intimidation against civilians for a political purpose.
January 6th wasn’t a shock to us out here. It was a larger finale to a season’s long episode of aggression.
