Emergency surgery. Not exactly where I expected to be today. 😳 Small bowel obstruction (usually reserved for age 70+ but hey, I like to break the rules! 🤣) and went to the top of the surgery list. Likely an aftermath of my previous surgery.

3 ultrasounds and an MRI - after over a year of massive period pain and serious amounts of bleeding, doctors found a very large fibroid and several smaller ones. Surgery will be coming up soon - removing my uterus and tubes. A bit scary but grateful to have answers & a solution!

UPDATE: Abbey is healing nicely. The vet says she’s very lucky! She has some swelling and pain but no infection. The first 24 hours were scary but she’s already eating and walking better.
She’s one tough Chihuahua!!!

A dog attacked Abbey while on a walk. While I was trying to protect her, David was able to unlock the dog’s grip and tackle him to the ground, leaving Abbey with only a single puncture wound to the neck. It’s deep and ugly but didn’t hit anything vital. Grateful it wasn’t worse.
