I agree with this a lot!! I spent a long time trying to help some of the people who hurt me, and eventually I just left when I realized I couldn't do anything.
It's important to know when you should let go of someone for your own well being, and when to help the other person
what shelby’s just said is so incredibly important. if you decide to keep around someone in your life who has done horrible things and is clearly in need of an intervention, you should be invested in their rehabilitation and getting them the help they need.
