The fact that our own evolved inner monologue makes LLMs better at reasoning is kinda crazy. Could we extrapolate this to other ways we evolved to think? Would scientific method, self-editing, peer-review, etc. make LLMs have the same delta improvement that inner monologue did?

@alz_zyd_ A reason why tenure is important imo. Min action, imaginary numbers, etc. were dismissed as too different from the group think of the time. Even true to some extent for econ/fin like DD's bank run model being dismissed with bAnKrUnS dOn'T hApPeN aNyMoRe
