I escaped to Misamis Occidental for the lockdown. I had no instruments aside from one electric guitar. But this song wanted a human ensemble - not synths not drum machine. Dane lives in a condo where, of course, you can’t play drums, and people just weren’t going outside for anything. But I wanted to put out music and a music video, so here was my solution. There’s a website where you can meet musicians who display the price of their services, and some include performance videos to their packages. And so I met these gentlemen. A drummer from UK, a guitarist from USA, a pianist from Italy, and a sound engineer from Australia. It gets expensive and it wasn’t necessarily easier, but it was a fun experiment. I got my music, and I got my video! Now it’s a canvas which you should see when you play “Pano Kaya” on Spotify! Song link:
