Some more busted Sindel/Lao tech. She can reverse wakeup inputs on frame 1 of getup after df4 using held Lao tele + float, df4 always has the same frame adv so its possible to do this consistently. Vid shows concept, proof that AI is set to wakeup, and full sequence. @SonicFox

New situational anti Lao hat tech. Similar to Captain Cold’s puddle in inj 2, if you connect any jump in on hit/block from a space where held lao hat on the ground would typically trip guard and punish you on your first frame of landing, armor will come out before hat connects.

Karma came around and I got cooked. I severely underestimated Koisy from the beginning and I commend him for how far he's pushed the meta and proven himself. I'm proud of my achievements in MK1, and want to use this humbling as motivation to improve as a positive player. GGs.

Most moves or characters built around moves like Ghostface’s stance changes where you’re locked into a recovery animation by a timer are usually garbage. It doesn’t help he also does this after you hit Enforcer/Assassin which could mean Ghostface is gettingfull combo’d off pokes.

Raiden is really just such a polarizing terribly designed character. Why was it decided that storm cell should be mid when the last hits were duckable in 11? That change would force him to call kameo to cover the gap rather than getting 50/50 grab mix off of pokes on block + chip.

Can we ban hideys in bracket? Ranked or casual is fine but entering tournaments under a secret identity like you’re Batman is the corniest shit ever and borderline cheating imo. NRS is also the only comp game I’ve seen where this is normalized. Pretty ridiculous imo. Ego boosting.

Also Mileena wasnt in the build. So I got some Kenshi and Kitana footage and hoooollly fucking shit are these characters so sick. Kenshi is NRS’s first legitimate puppet character. I’m talking Zato levels of Puppet. And Kitana combos are some of the coolest combos I’ve ever seen.

Unsurprisingly they gave HL an ineffective nerf. The high/low mix f4 gave him wasn’t the problem. It was f4’s neutral dominance that forced you to block from half-screen giving him the freest command grabs into juggle into corner into mix ever. F4 still has the same range 💀.

Why does the recovery animation for Sindel after a summon is hit vary by hundreds of frames depending on a few frames of difference of kameo being hit and why does it result in her having so much more recovery than anyone else to the point where she gets fullscreen punished?

All bugs that stayed in the game long enough (many still in the game) to make notable differences in at least one if not multiple large tournaments. How are we supposed to take competitive seriously? Previous games would have bugs like this patched out damn near instantly.

Tempest Kung Lao was the first character I ever took time to try to improve with in a fighting game and I was really disappointed with how Lao played in MK11/MK1, seeing his trademark move back like this and knowing i can use it with any character makes me so happy we're so back.
