@ScottHech I believe Tesla was one of the companies that was building some of the charging stations under this program- so at first blush this order doesn't seem to help them.

To anyone waiting for government spending data to be published in order to look through it, no need. The federal government already makes available the vast majority of its spending data in a searchable form:

@nope_its_lily Or they decide on a new CEO/strategy. They bet the company on building up capacity and competing with TSMC... but it seems like they're giving up on that before finishing the attempt.

@nope_its_lily Given what is happening to ethics rules and enforcement, incentives will also shift towards seeking non-salary remuneration.

@poiThePoi @seconds_0 I was going to hold up Paradox/Stellaris as a great example of how this can be done. The base game is great, and you get your moneys worth. But if you want more... there is more.

@AlexSaviuk @JorgeJimenezArt @tomeu_morey Which future batman- Terry/Batman Beyond? In several arcs over the last decade there has been a bit of a through line from Bruce developing technologies for longevity or physical enhancement, to his deciding his legacy will be via the "family". Both lead to Terry!

@samstein Well do I remember, but worth it to be in the part of the crowd doing the musical bits as various folks came on stage. And doesn't feel that cold when you're packed in tight with all those people!

@mikemearls I like having more options, so I tend to prefer playing things that give me those, though I can be pretty good at finding them for myself. I've really enjoyed some Fate system games (Dresden Files RPG is what I spent the most time with) which have very open action options.

@deepresearch855 I don't have a good answer to 1. I would speculate that it will be niche, novel, and lead to arguments about how to define commercial viability. But there are somewhat consensus answers to 2. for popular classes of algorithm at any given scale.

This framework, however, will let you make your own guesses. If you're as optimistic about improvements in the underlying technology as I am, then you may be able to see a path to commercial use cases in less than two decades. (11/11)
