Three former Memphis police officers have been found guilty of various charges in the Tyre Nichols trial. Only Demetrius Haley was guilty of civil rights violations, but a lesser charge that said the force didn’t result in Nichols’ death.

Two more men at 201 Poplar died this week, bringing the total to four for the week. Sheriff Bonner is waiting for a cause of death ruling from the ME for these two, but said he is taking a no nonsense approach to officers bringing in drug contraband.

A man carrying a rifle in the Vollintine-Evergreen area was shot by Memphis police this morning. He was taken to Regional One in critical condition. Police were concerned about him walking toward a school with the rifle, Assistant Chief Don Crowe said.
