@Justacanadian1 Would you believe me if I told you it has 113,000 miles on the original CVT and it has been lifted for like 50,000 of those miles

In a last ditch effort I decided to try a DIY clutch adjustment on the Kia just in case it was something real dumb and simple and to my surprise it actually got reverse to engage *a tiny bit* but for sure the clutch is cooked

@PepperMuzz After putting 35s on a Nissan Juke went so well I thought “that shouldn’t have worked” and had the balls to try it a second time XD At least it was a salvage title rebuild car so there wasn’t much to lose in the first place lol

@PepperMuzz I was surprised it blew in 2nd gear since I was at a dead stop and it should have been in first, it just never downshifted but that's what I get for buying a manual with a mind of its own 🤷‍♀️ I can put a new clutch in but yeah it's probably going to happen again in like 10k miles

@AlexEdgerton @wuketet I’m tracking down an upgraded clutch pack that people are putting in the Veloster and GT Forte which should be the same DCT application, but just trying to confirm that before I get that ordered

@saan_jackal I play it up a little, I don't actually hate this thing. I want to do everything I can to fix it It is funny after being in a constant state of worry wondering when one of my cars will break, when it finally does break in a significant way it's actually relieving

I did get the Kia home safely but oof holding it in first to like 5000+ rpm just to double shift and wait like 4 seconds for the car to finally engage 3rd so I can keep accelerating is so sketchy lmao

@reasonablyvulgr I'm like 90% sure the 1.6 block they use is the same between the Turbo and the NA so I really hope I can.
