I've just added up my miles walked this year and it's 970. 30 short of my 1000 target mostly due to poor weather and a bad knee in November. I'm aiming for 1200 miles in 2024.

So here I am in the beautiful Norfolk countryside picking up other people's c**p including 6 dog poo bags. At least I left it clean and safe for nature. I shall keep on doing it in the hope it will get better.

Today is my birthday 😃. Rob’s gone to so much effort. Sneaked all this in the car from Austria ❤️. We are off to Wells next the Sea today where I lived as a child. Birthday fish & chip lunch and a bracing walk to burn off the calories!

As it’s the end of the month I’ve just added up my walking. 171km in July, 923km year to date which in old money is 574 miles. Not bad for someone who was officially obese a year ago. 😃

The eagle has landed. Here I am in Norfolk ready to start our new life. Our journey took 2 days but was surprisingly straightforward. Thanks for all your likes and messages. Your support carried me through 😘

Those of you that've been following me a while will remember me mentioning my dear friend Mick. Very sad news today. He has been ill for a couple of months and passed away peacefully at home last night. The sky will be brighter tonight with his star and I have lost a dear friend.

It's almost a year since we left our home in the Austrian forest. I'm pleased to tell you all that today we got the keys to our new home. A little bungalow in a North Norfolk village. Bit of tarting up required but we can stay in our rented house till end of October so no stress!

5 years ago today we left our home, jobs and friends in Jersey to move here to the forest in Southern Austria. We’ve certainly had 5 years full of adventure. I have learnt so much. Feel a completely different person!

Not been out today, too wet and windy. Stitched up another blanket for the animal charity. I knitted these squares for this one. It's nice and big and thick so hopefully will bring a big dog some comfort.

So here is my cleaned up reindeer. He was in the shop at our refuse centre yesterday. Price £4. I just couldn't leave him there. He just needed a little brush and sponge wash! He will have a little sleep up in the loft now till December.

We’ve been back in UK under a week and I’m pleased to report we now have a long-term rental to move to at the end of Nov. It belongs to a very good friend and is in a small town so I can walk to the shops and the library! It has 2 sheds - this one will be mine 😃
