I don’t know if Knecht recovers from the attempted trade like many lakers fans are stating You can only be unassured about it. Optimism and pessimism don’t land the results you’ll get.

You make decisions a coach and you live with the results You could run a designed set and risk the play blowing up and a bad look or you could read your star players energy and hunt the mismatch and risk a missed iso look. There’s no metrics that say a designed set results in a better closing shot than an iso with the teams best iso player. Neither is better than the other. Coaching is often a gamble of things within and without your control.
