THIS. I published 4 books before one took off. Could just as easily have been more! Getting a hit with your first book is SO rare. It's so easy to see the few exceptions - the instant debut hits - and feel like a failure if that's not you. But they ARE exceptions, not the norm.
At this time of year it can be overwhelming, and you may think you need to do everything at once, but you are never too old, too slow, or too late to write. There may be sprint stars tearing out of the gates, but give it long enough and the marathon runners will win #DATips.
