45 primary school teachers from Rumbek County joined a workshop about how to teach Mathematics, English and Science. The facilitators presented topics like schemes of work, lesson planning, handling children, and delivering content in the simplest and most appropriate way.

For our annual sharing, learning and exploration meeting with our university scholars in Nairobi, we went to Masai Mara. Here we marvelled at God’s creation and thought about tourism opportunities for South Sudan. We enjoyed this time and start in the next semester full of energy

Peace Pilgrimage 2025 day 8: Today, we arrived at our final destination Aluak-Luak and were again warmly welcomed. In the last 8 days we did approx. 27million steps for peace. All participants expressed their deep gratitude and the wish to bring peace back to their homes.

Peace Pilgrimage 2025 Day 6: When you are on a pilgrimage you never know what surprises the day will bring you. We pray to be open for God’s gifts along the road. A refreshing gift after a long walk was river Mvolo, in the Diocese of Yei, and a warm welcome of the people there

Peace Pilgrimage 2025 day 5: Today our way led us from Wulu to Nuktamanga. Building peace always starts with small changes. For example, it’s not typical for men to cook here. However, during our pilgrimage cooking, serving food, washing the dishes were all done together.

Peace Pilgrimage 2025 day 4: After cleaning up the school where we slept last night, we left Malou in direction of Wulu. We were blessed with the rising sun. 22km lay head of us and when we got tired we climbed up every hill along the road, started dancing or prayed the rosary.

Peace Pilgrimage 2025 day 3: Our day started with a special blessing from our Bishop. After a short breakfast stop in Sacred Heart Parish we left Rumbek toward Malou. The people there welcomed us greatly; Nuncio and Bishop said goodbye and promised their prayers.

Peace Pilgrimage 2025 day 2: Today, we walked to our cathedral to celebrate mass with the Nuncio and our Bishop. Later, we welcomed both in Loreto compound and the young people had the opportunity to tell the Nuncio about their situation and challenges. #pilgrimsofhope

Today, we officially started the third peace pilgrimage with a mass in Loreto. We are all happy and excited about this adventure. Of course we will share some pictures with you here during the next week. 🙏🏿🫶🏿🇸🇸☮️

"This experience changed my life." was one of the insights we heard in our final reflection. 53 young adults joined the youth retreat in Loreto compound this week—days full of listening, reflecting, praying and laughing. Now, we are ready to celebrate the incarnation of God.
