A painting study done in Photoshop this time. Wanted to try out a few brushes which were really fun to play with (brushes pack from
@henrywongdraws
) !

Hi everyone ✨
Some of my paintings are now officially available as prints!
It feels quite surreal to know these pieces will now have a chance exist in the real world. I hope you'll enjoy them!

Hi everyone
#PortfolioDay
My name is Lorenzo, I specialize in Background painting/VisDev and am currently looking for work. Lately I've been trying to make my brain melt by painting the streets of Hong Kong, and I love it !

Watching this, it almost feels like each character is a sort of choreography. At least that's how I was feeling when I was doing a lot of calligraphy and lettering 3 years ago. Each letter is a different "dance" for the hand, with it's own variation in shapes and pressure
Hi everyone

!
I'm Lorenzo, graduated a week ago in Illustration. Currently dividing my time between studies of environments and characters, while working on a portfolio that reflects who I am and the kind of work I want to do :)

Study from yesterday. Simplifying vegetation in a graphic way is tricky because it can quickly become a complete mess. Not 100% sure about this result but I'll keep exploring this approach!

Spent the last few days looking at the work of Jamie Hewlett and Tatsuyuki Tanaka. Did this piece to channel some of those inspirations. I'll never get tired of their work!

Another study, this time trying to be a lot quicker and working with "looser" shapes. Not really satisfied with the result, but I'll keep working :)

Finished a study from last night. I have a folder full of narrow alleys like this one but i was afraid of painting them (so much information in so little space). Finally jumped into it, that's what studies are for! :)

Picking only one favorite is way too hard, but this scene animated by Shingo Natsume really stuck with me recently. I find the atmosphere very "heavy" even more so when it's seen in context ad not as a clip :)
And before I forget, here's a study I did this week. This idea came to me as soon as I saw the reference picture on pinterest. Another occasion to test a way to render, this time with the hard round brush, but with the opacity set on pressure.

@AYMRC
Hi Aymeric, this sounds like a fantastic opportunity!
I'd love to be considered for visual development if my profile match with what you're looking for. Here's a link to my portfolio as well if you want to see more.

This started as a 1h study, but I decided to push it further this afternoon because I was having way too much fun working on it! Experimenting with ways to render vegetation with a looser approach. The contrast with the building turned out nicely I think :)

First time using Blender to fake volume on a 2D painting. It was so fun! 😄 Decided to add a bit of sound to make it even more believable.

Quick painting from this morning. Only using a hard edge brush really is a good exercise. I want to understand values better and also improve the overall shapes, brush strokes and composition. We'll see how it goes

I'm amazed by the support I've received with this piece. It makes me so happy, thank you very much to everyone ! I won't lie, it's also a bit intimidating ahah 😄
Here's a quick step by step of the pocess
I realize I forgot to post this piece that started as a study but ended up being a heavily interpreted one, there's not much left from the original except for the overall pose! It was a lot of fun to work in a looser way, pushing shapes. I want to experiment more this way :)
Decided to add a character on top of a hard edge brush study. I really wanted to play with that neon lighting. Had a lot of fun working on this one !

Love this scene in Koe no Katachi where you can really feel how embarassed Shoya is. The film is a gem, there are tons of delicate moments like this one
A study I did 2 days ago. I love these kinds of small alleys and I have a folder with loads of them so I'm always happy when I take the time to actually paint one! 😊

My first solo game SUMMERHOUSE has just released!! I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the feelings, but mostly I'm excited and grateful I got to make this little game.
It would mean the world if you could give this a retweet and try the game on Steam 💙🌻
Here's the finished piece! This was a lot of fun to work on. I love doing these photo study while keeping some liberties with the original reference. It's a good mix between studying and experimenting :)

1h long study before dinner. I find it stressful to set a time limit when doing these, but I feel like it make the exercise way more interesting. In the end, the goal with these isn't to spend hours refining every single detail. I'll try to make it a daily habit 💪!
Thank you for the overwhelmingly positive response on this painting! & welcome to all the new people discovering my work, hopefully you'll find more interesting stuff in here ✨
Today I decided to start using my full name to post my work. I first began using Aosagibi because I wasn't comfortable enough to share my drawings online without "hiding". Since then, I've learned a lot and now I'm becoming more confident towards what I produce.
Decides to push one of yesterday's sketch while taking some liberties from the original reference. I quite like the overall attitude of this character so I think I'll draw him in different situations/poses to see how consistant I can keep it!

I had the opportunity to help out the fantastic people from
@thelinestudio
on this project. Everyone on the team did such an amazing job, I highly recommend you check out the result✨
Sorry, I always forget to keep twitter up to date with what I'm posting on Instagram. I'll try to get better at it!
In the meantime, here are the process VIDs
Hooray it’s
