It is with the utmost sadness that I have to report that my predecessor, Dame Ingrid Roscoe, passed away yesterday. She served West Yorkshire as its Lord-Lieutenant with love, energy and devotion over 14 years. She will be very sadly missed by many many people across the County.

Today the Under Sheriff for West Yorkshire was joined by the Lord Mayor of Leeds and Lord Lieutenant in proclaiming the reign of King Charles III to the people of West Yorkshire and the City of Leeds. Flags at all civic buildings were raised to full mast to mark the occasion.
