Members who attended the AGM visit to the Withybed herd earlier this month enjoyed a fabulous Longhorn beef lunch and donated a whopping £485.70 in aid of the local Primrose Hospice in Bromgrove. Thank you to all members who were so generous. @PrimroseHospice

The Society's online timed sale saw record prices achieved for cattle sold online. Gentons Whoopi sold to £5000 to David & Alfred Woolley for their Arbor Low herd Derbyshire. Three year old bull Gentons Voldemort EX90 sold to £3500, going to Wales.

The Society and the Northern Longhorn breeders group enjoyed a fabulous day at HMP Kirkham on 27 July for their summer visit to see the work of the prison and the long-established Kirklan herd of Longhorns. A full report will be in our autumn 'The Longhorn' magazine

Brian Wragg judged an extremely wet @greatyorkshow last week. His breed champion was senior heifer Melbourne Park Kearstay IV from @Toriandbensfarm, Derbyshire. Reserve champion was Litton X-Ception from Jane Grant and Trish McDonnell. Results below

Congrats to everyone who competed at the @3countiesshows at the weekend at the Society's National Show. You all turned out some fabulous cattle and did the breed proud. @BlackbrookLong1 took the Championship and Rachael Heard the Reserve. Results here

We're looking forward to our National Show at @3countiesshows this Friday 14 June. There's a great turnout of Longhorns entered so plenty of quality cattle to see! Judging starts at 08.30 am so get to the show early to beat the queues and join us at the ringside!

What a day! The Society had an amazing day at @McCartneysLLP Worcester for our Spring Show & Sale. Our judge Wendy Finucane had a tough job with strong classes but it was a day for the boys with 2022 bulls Longbridge Warren Champion & Gentons Wentworth Reserve. (1 of 2)
