I have made the difficult decision to withdraw from the DFL convention tomorrow. I am taking the next couple of weeks to continue to focus on my health and will make a decision about whether to continue running for state representative at that time.

While I will make a decision about the primary election at a later time, you can be sure I am not done fighting for the people. Once I have time to get right, I’ll be back in the struggle with you.

It’s wrong for a boss, a landlord, or politician to tell someone ‘you don’t belong’ just because of who you are. Having protections in place that say we cannot be harassed, fired or evicted because of who we are ensures that we can all be there for our families and each other.

My big concern is young people after they graduate from school often struggle to get the resources and support they need. Better transit systems, supportive housing and eliminating the sub-minimum wage would change a lot of people's lives.
