I love that Mary Marvel was obviously based on 1970's icon Pam Grier! Since we never got season 2, we don't know her story.
But I once saw someone pitch her as an elderly civil rights activist who, now gifted the powers of SHAZAM!, is able to relive her youth. And I love that!

Originally, I pitched her as Raquel Ervin aka Rocket (an idea I still like) but this universe likes to shake things up. So, subverting the Shazam kid trope by having an elderly person take on the role I think is a nice switch that reframes the perspective of the character.
