@LaceyBonarHull I think Henry I's big achievement was to detoxify Norman rule, although he was definitely not the grandad to leave your kids with! Henry II should surely be higher (better than either of his kids) - jury trials and borough charters were important steps towards democracy.

@max_abdulgani (sadly) E.g. in my own ward alone there are 1000s of homes with planning permission that are yet to start being built. Too often, the timetable for building is set by developers trying to maximise their returns from a development. 2/

@max_abdulgani That's nonsense. For a start, they might disincentivise some investment purchase of properties, which is a key driver of the overheating of the London housing market.
