Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania have successfully synchronised their electricity grids with the Continental Europe Synchronous Area (CESA) on 09 February 2025 at 14:05 CET, marking a historic milestone in their journey towards strengthened energy system resilience and integration.

The electricity systems of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania continue to operate independently. As part of the isolated operation test programme, the Baltic system operators are carrying out frequency management tests to assess their ability to ensure grid stability. #BalticSynchro

Wholesale electricity prices in Lithuania decreased by 25% last month, from 117.3 EUR / MWh to 87.4 EUR / MWh. Wind power plants produced a record amount of electricity in October, totaling 369 GWh. This accounted for a remarkable 58% of all electricity produced in Lithuania.
