It's bonkers that we continue to allow private parking companies to act without proper regulation or oversight. If you've received an unfair ticket, challenge it. If you feel bullied by a private parking company, contact it's trade association. @WhichUK @simonvigar5 @5_News
More than 35,000 parking tickets are being issued by private companies every day in the UK, RAC figures show. @simonvigar5 reports from Brighton - a city that issues more fines than almost anywhere else in the country.

@ce_maughan I'm actually two weeks into a claim for ANOTHER GWR train where I was forced to stand for 90 mins despite reserving a seat. Always worth a try. Interestingly, they wanted a lot of my personal data in order to consider my claim 🤔

I'm on a GWR train. Ticket cost £125. It's so busy that we're standing in vestibules and aisles. I'm perched in a bike rack. I asked @GWRHelp if I could sit in one of the many free seats in 1st. Told no. If I wanted a seat I could wait for the next train. Which is cancelled.
