NEAR Intents address a number of challenges in the current DeFi landscape at fundamental level: - There is no MEV possible - user receives quotes from solvers. Solvers effectively commit to trade at a specific price. When it hits blockchain validators - there is already cryptographic commitment. - Solvers can decide who they want to trade with - based on their compliance requirements. For example they can do OFAC check or any other compliance framework including AI scoring on per-trade basis. - New asset launching can have arbitrary logic (in any programming language) to ensure fairness of distribution: fixed priced pre-sale, bonding curve, limiting who can participate based on WL or on-the-fly AI scoring. Post launch can be quoting prices as well in arbitrary programmed way: xy=k, pick up dips, trade based on Kaito's score, etc. - When new asset launching natively on Intents, there is no technical bottleneck - there is no priority fee hike to trade this asset on any network. If expect lots of demand can horizontally scale the solvers that are offering the asset to handle the requests traffic. - Any application, any (cryptographic) wallet, any chain can use the protocol.
