WINTER JOB OPPORTUNITY LINDSAY RUGBY CLUB The Lindsay Rugby Football Club (on behalf of Rugby Ontario) is seeking to hire a rugby intern for the winter. The qualified intern will work 20 hours a week for 12 weeks. See photos, Facebook or website posting for more details.

Great turn out at the club last night. The front of the club is looking great. Thanks to everyone who has been helping out with maintaining the club at this time when nobody really is there to see it. The more people that chip in a bit of their time, the easier it is. Thanks.

Name: David Beukeboom Position: Maintenance Manager Dave started playing with the Lindsay Rugby Club when he was just 13 and has now been a member for over 16 years. He has had much success in the sport of rugby, but has always considered the Lindsay Rugby Club his home.

The hot weather we have been having has been making the weeds grow and we are trying to stay ahead of them. Join us this Thursday July 16th at 7:00 pm for another social-distanced weeding party. We have some mulch arriving on Wednesday, that will need to be spread.

Our previous social-distanced weeding partys went so well, we are going to do it again this Tuesday at 7:00 pm. If you have an hour or so Tuesday, July 7th at 7:00 p.m., come out to the club and pull some weeds and help get the club looking in top form.

Name: John Carr Position: Director of Communication John initially started getting involved with the Lindsay Rugby Club when his son started playing U12 back in 2006. He has served the club in a variety of roles, including two years as club President.

Return to Play Update The Rugby Canada Board of Directors has approved the National ‘Return to Play’ Plan and has lifted the nationwide suspension of sanctioned rugby activities. Please see the attached announcement for full details

Meet the Executive.... Name: Kevin McReelis Position: Director of Game Kevin began playing with the Lindsay Rugby Club in 1988 as a junior player and eventually moved his way through the ranks to the Men’s 1st Team.

Thanks to Marnie, Steve, Brett, Wendy, Chris, Amanda and Janice for your hard work getting more of weeds pulled out of the flower beds on our second night of weeding. Still lots of weeds, so we will be doing another weeding party in the next week or so. Watch for the date.

Name: Wendy King Position: Director of Fundraising Wendy initially got involved with the Lindsay Rugby Club as a parent, when her two oldest kids started playing at the age of 9 and 10. At 37 years old she joined the Women’s Team! She played for 4 years and enjoyed every minute.
