When people have moral convictions about political issues/candidates, they are more engaged, likely to vote, volunteer, and engage in activism. But they are also more likely to accept any means—including lying and violence—to achieve moralized ends.
These days, there are few psychological constructs more relevant and fascinating than "moral conviction." An incredibly helpful and insightful quick overview out now in @AnnualReviews by @LindaSkitka, @BrittanyEHanson, Morgan, & @dan_wisneski:

LOL. I don’t think I’ve ever met an academic who isn’t attached to using the em-dash.
Just saw someone saying using the em-dash is a sign of something being written by AI, because real people rarely use it. This is terrible news for everyone like me who has an unhealthy emotional attachment to the em-dash.

This! Direct file is of the best things to come out of gov’t in recent years— something I’ve been eagerly waiting to become available in my state. Pre-populated tax forms? YES PLEASE.
Another idiotic move. Why would anyone who is not in the business of doing tax returns oppose people getting a pre-populated return. Could be at least 75% of Americans. In civilized countries you can file your taxes by text message!
