This budget deal in March is a gut check for @RepJeffries. If he wants to be the Speaker of the House, he has to stand up now and draw the line on Trump. Don't blow a chance to hand-off Trump.

This is how the Constitutional order breaks.
Asked Speaker Johnson about the JD Vance tweet on how courts can’t control “legitimate power” of executive and if the WH should ultimately listen to the courts. He said he agrees with Vance and also noted he met with Elon Musk yesterday. Urged courts to “take a step back” to let administration to move ahead

Chuck Schumer should get out. He is a clueless dope. The March budget agreement is the single biggest piece of leverage they might have in the next two years. Why give that up. I’m not for shutting down the government. But don’t blow a chance to handcuff Trump.

Then she should vote against Trump. Put up or shut up.
Senate Appropriations Chairwoman Susan Collins is objecting to the Trump administration’s move on cuts to the National Institutes of Health budget, saying she told Robert F. Kennedy Jr about her “strong opposition” to “arbitrary” cuts that she says could be “devastating” to critical research initiatives. Collins, a key swing vote, has not said how she would vote on Kennedy’s nomination to lead Health and Human Services, which will be considered by the full Senate this week. “This morning, I called Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., the nominee to head the Department of Health and Human Services, to express my strong opposition to these arbitrary cuts in funding for vital research at our Maine institutions, which are known for their excellence. He has promised that as soon as he is confirmed, he will re-examine this initiative that was implemented prior to his confirmation.”
