Deeply disturbing to learn that undercover Israeli intelligence forces have taken my friends Mahmoud Muna and Ahmad Muna hostage and raided both branches of the Educational Bookshop, a well-respected Palestinian institution in occupied Jerusalem.

L&D staff are not 24 hours in custody. In Greater Manchester it used to be the case that Forensic Medical Examiners ie doctors covered police stations but then that was changed to nurses and now it is frequently paramedics. Custody sergeants, in my experience, are actually quite good at identifying potentially mentally unwell patients who require urgent assessment.

Israeli Police arrested Palestinian Bookshop owners for the crime of selling books. 1000s are jailed for “incitement,” i.e., posting articles critical of Israel. Racist law applies ONLY to Palestinians: Israelis’ regular calls to annihilate Palestinians bring ZERO punishment.

So far today: -IDF killed two women in Nur a Shams in West Bank -IDF Shot and killed three Palestinians in Gaza who came near fence -Strike on airport in southern Syria (second strike in Syria in 24 hours)
