This man is one of the most important parts in the Mets baseball experience. He is a Mets fan, but most importantly, he’s a baseball fan. He loves this sport, always puts it above his own fandom. We as a fans appreciate him for it, and it’s time the league recognized him for it.
Gary Cohen has been named a finalist for the 2025 Ford C. Frick Award
The award is given out annually by the Baseball Hall of Fame to a broadcaster for their "major contributions to baseball"

I think this is similar to when a batter over runs 1B and turns in to the field rather than out to the foul line. If there’s no attempt to advance, the runner just returns to the base. It didn’t seem like an attempt to go back to 1B so there is no need to retouch 2B to advance

Howie Rose, man. The Mets and our fans are so lucky we have two of the greatest broadcasters, two of the best Mets fans, two of the best baseball fans that get to do play by play for us.

The Mets were extremely mediocre down the stretch in ‘22. Felt like every day was a struggle just to hang on. These Mets feel completely different. You’re not “hoping” they win, you believe that they will.

By any chance is there a similar chart for clutch scenarios? Runners on third with less than 2 outs?
I’d be interested to see the numbers in those scenarios too
