Q6- The Night Diary- The mass migration of a group of people simply because those in power decided that that was the way things should be has always intrigued me. Horrified, really. In this book, a young girl was the voice that showed us the hardships that result. #YAMSReads

Q4- The Night Diary - A question I would ask the author would be if a sequel is in the works. The struggles between India and Pakistan continue up to today and I would love to read how Nisha and her brother experienced what happened after they settled in India. #YAMSReads

Q3- The Night Diary- The narrator is a young girl that is going through a lot of things in her personal life- growing up, missing her mother, dealing with other family members- that appeals to readers in these grades especially those that love historical fiction. #YAMSReads

Q2- The Night Diary- The family relationships between the father, grandmother, brother, the cook, and the narrator will appeal to all readers in one way or another. It will remind them of that special relationship. It reminded me of my grandmother. #YAMSReads

A1- I read the Night Diary and I would definitely recommend this book to several of my ESL students who have experienced being displaced from their homes. Plus the description of the food will bring smiles to my Pakistani students! #YAMSReads
