Yesterday, ESL announced their decision to disqualify NAVI Junior from the ESL One Raleigh 2025 Qualifier following an investigation into the team's use of a smoke bug. Our team was found more guilty than the other 30 teams that also used the smoke bug during the qualifiers across all regions. As it turns out, the bug is actually allowed but only in limited cases — and if you're Tundra or Spirit :) In defense of our team, we want to point out that ESL admins did not issue any warnings about the prohibition of the bug prior to the qualifier, which led to its widespread use. In contrast, during the previous PGL Wallachia qualifier, the tournament operator PGL informed teams in advance that using the smoke bug was a disqualifying offense. According to our information, the tournament proceeded without any bug abuse. Given all of the above, we are disappointed with ESL's unfair decision, though we have no choice but to accept it.
