It’s Time to SHUT Down FEMA! If you do one thing today, grab a cup of coffee, watch this video, and help me spread the word. I am angry. Our WNC neighbors deserve better—let’s make some noise! Here’s my question for December 6th: Does FEMA have money or not? Does North Carolina? Because I’ve been meeting with folks in Western North Carolina—one-on-one conversations—and the answers are frustrating. • Have you received help from North Carolina? No. • Have you received help from FEMA? Sometimes. And when they do, it’s pennies. $750. $300. Or, like the lady I spoke with this week, who’s living in a moldy trailer with a ruined roof, deemed “uninhabitable” by FEMA. You know what FEMA gave her? $3,500. ➡️ Tell me how $3,500 fixes anything for a family who just wants to stay in their home. Meanwhile, North Carolina’s offering buyouts for pre-storm values. Sounds nice, right? But here’s the kicker: • If NC buys your home, they get 75% reimbursed by FEMA. • But if you want money to stay put? Crickets. ➡️ Why? Because FEMA wants to turn your home into “green space” after it’s demolished. And who pays to maintain that green space? You guessed it: TAXPAYERS. So, let’s do the math: FEMA and NC will spend $150K to buy you out, but they won’t give you $150K to rebuild and stay. That’s taking away your choice, your agency, and frankly, it’s un-American. 🇺🇸 Here’s reference reading for you: And FEMA’s justification? “Oh, you might flood again.” Well, this was a 1-in-1,000-year flood. Why not let homeowners sign a waiver if they want to rebuild? Here’s what I’m asking y’all to do: 1. Call your legislators—state and federal. 2. Tell them to stop caving to FEMA and let people decide what’s best for their own lives. ❤️ The folks in these small towns and hamlets love their neighbors, their land, their mountains. Not everyone wants to live in a 15-minute city or a big town. And they deserve to stay put if they choose. This isn’t just about dollars and cents; it’s about dignity, freedom, and respecting the will of the people. If you’re mad like I am, don’t just comment. Take action. Call, share, and remind your leaders who they work for. Let’s fight for our neighbors in Western North Carolina—and for their right to stay home. Leigh Brown #PatriotRelief

For the record-this pile of debris was a tiny house that Helene destroyed in NC and the owner got *nothing* from FEMA. Meanwhile @fema spends $59,000,000 on luxury hotels for illegals… It is wrong. Just freaking wrong. Fix this, @CameronVA and @virginiafoxx
The @DOGE team just discovered that FEMA sent $59M LAST WEEK to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal migrants. Sending this money violated the law and is in gross insubordination to the President’s executive order. That money is meant for American disaster relief and instead is being spent on high end hotels for illegals! A clawback demand will be made today to recoup those funds.
