Instead of paying the bond in 2025, the govt had to pay the $250M - or $1.7 billion TTD - instantly. The govt’s income in 2017 was $36 billion dollars with expenses at $52 billion - its worst earning year outside the pandemic. Because someone borrowed money to pave roads in 2000.

Truth be told, the rot was in in 2015. With a drop in energy revenue in November 2014 that continued without stopping, the then government announced a reduction of government expenditure by 7% in January 2015. That went out the window by June 2015 when elections were announced.

In 1994? A gold album with one producer was very good. Illmatic was gold. Hip Hop albums weren’t selling by the millions until 1995-96. At that point, very few albums went beyond gold. The exceptions were Snoop, Dre, Pac, Outkast, Method Man & BIG. Everyone else was gold or less.

Yup. The company that got the contract to bring the machines included a clause in the contract that they will own the biometric data collected & not the GORTT. Former MONS had the contract scrapped. Contractor’s majority shareholder also owns the Trinidad Express & TV6.

In short:
1. The amount of USD sold in 2022 is around the same as 2023 YTD
2. There are more online (read: USD) credit card purchases
