LOL... You just showed you don't know how it works. Please reread what you wrote. You pay taxes on your home whether you have a mortgage or not. However, if you have paid off your home, you absolutely have no reason to be paying taxes on it. Before you call other people clueless, please know what you are talking about. I don't talk to rude or nutty people. Bye.

@reallyoptimized @GovRonDeSantis Ahh.... Still can't talk like an adult. Have to go down the insult road. If you want to live in a city and pay additional taxes so the Government can do everything for you, that is your choice. Leave the rural people alone.

You don't know how local taxes work I see ... Car registrations and tickets and such pay for freeways and interstates. My property taxes do not pay for l-40. If you are not going to try to have an intelligent conversation, please just go away. I don't have time for this nonsense.

Car registrations, highway taxes, tickets .... You know.... All the things they told us they must have in order to pay for roads and school buses. They also have sales taxes, permit costs (which should also be eliminated), FCC tax, Electricity Tax .. Everything we do is taxed... Sometimes two or three times. We are overtaxed as it is.

@ASTORTeksas @reallyoptimized @GovRonDeSantis Um... 4 x 4s and our own graders? We have solar, generator. We have a truck and pay at the landfill. We have starlink for Internet. We live on acreage. We have a well ... Why would we need to worry abt fires? City people are funny.

I live in a rural area. We don't need the government to do any of those things for us. Are you serious? You need the government to make a park for you? You need the government to educate your kids? My gawd it is sad what has happened to the American people. Our founders are rolling in their graves.
